Description
We love what we do. We love perfecting the details in our watches. We know that these details give them character and determine their final appearance.
Piątunio is the result of our entire journey so far. It is the embodiment of a dream, the result of hard work and a rejection of all compromises. From the very beginning, the watch was intended to be unique, composed of details whose sum is an expression of our passion and love for creating timepieces.
The project was led by Mateusz Przystał. Piątunio is our gateway to a new world. With this watch, we begin a new chapter in the history of our company. We are opening ourselves to new strategies and opportunities in the areas of design, quality, customer service, and watch presentation.
Piątunio, featuring a natural, gray meteorite, is a watch for those seeking classic elegance with a touch of madness. The watch's dial is crafted from a natural meteorite, which shimmers in various shades of gray under a sapphire crystal. Looking closely at its silvery dial, you can feel the forces of nature that brought this piece of cosmic energy into Earth's atmosphere.
During the design of Piątuń, all details of the watch remained under Mateusz's constant supervision. However, our designer had no influence on the structure and patterns of the dial. These were created by nature over millions of years. Only cutting the meteorite revealed its full beauty, known as Widmanstätten Figures. These are visible only in the cross-section of iron meteorites. They consist of randomly intersecting thicker and thinner lines of kamacite and taenite, respectively. These create unique patterns that arise solely through the action of extraterrestrial natural forces.
Piątunio is based on the latest installment of the Volans series. Most of the watch's components have been redesigned to offer not only timeless aesthetics but also practical solutions.
The Piątunia dial is covered by a domed sapphire crystal. It has been coated with an anti-reflective coating, making the watch easier to read by reflecting light. The anti-reflective coating is located on the inside of the crystal, protecting the AR coating from damage. This is especially important, as the Piątunia crystal is the watch's hallmark. Its unique shape gives the Piątunia dial a different look every time you look at it.
This watch impresses with its detail. The daily date complication indicates all days of the week, including the all-important, eagerly awaited Friday. This is where our watch takes its affectionate name. It's a nod to those who love what they do every day. For them, we transform Friday into Piątunio (Friday). A day that combines the workweek with a pleasant weekend and a well-deserved moment of relaxation.
The watch's unique dial, made of natural meteorite, deserves a special setting. The Piątunia case is satin-finished on its main surfaces, with the edges between them polished to a high shine. A grippy, screw-down crown is located at 3 o'clock. It is meticulously finished and signed with our company logo.
On the other side of the dial, there's an opaque caseback. In its center, we've placed a graphic of the constellation Volans, or Flying Fish. This is a small constellation consisting of about 20 stars. Volans is visible only in the southern sky. Could the meteorite from which the Piątunia dial is made come from this constellation? We can't rule it out!
For those who value practicality, we've equipped the watch with a unique bracelet. It's the same width along its entire length. Its individual links have been reduced to a height of 3mm. This makes the bracelet very airy, yet incredibly sturdy. The full links are equipped with a system that allows you to adjust its length to your wrist circumference. No tools needed, no visits to a watchmaker, no time wasted.
The watch is powered by a Swiss Sellita SW240 DayDate movement, providing 38 hours of continuous operation. The case design guarantees water resistance to 200 meters. The Piątunio with a gray dial is limited to only 50 pieces.
