Michał is crazy. What else can you call a man who enjoys swimming in icy water? And we're not talking about ordinary recreational winter swimming. Michał is an athlete who competes in cold water with other swimmers for medals at the world's most important events. And he can confidently say he's the best.

We understand this kind of madness perfectly. After all, we ourselves took the "moon shot" when we started building watches in 2014. What brought Michał and I together was a jump into the deep end. In our ambassador's case, it was also a terrifyingly cold one.

The competition in the events in which Michał Perl competes begins when the water temperature doesn't exceed 5 degrees Celsius. Thermometers often read 0 degrees Celsius. This was the case in 2019 during the Ice Swimming World Championships in Murmansk. Our ambassador returned from that event as a multi-medalist. He won three individual gold medals in freestyle, breaststroke, and the 50m butterfly. He added another individual gold medal in the 100m freestyle. In the relay races, he and his national teammates won another gold and silver.

Michał brings home medals from every championship event, proving that he's among the world's top extreme swimmers. He also holds three Guinness World Records results. At the last IISA World Championships, held in Italy in 2025, he and his teammates completed the 4x50m freestyle in 1:52.55.
