Krzysztof Miruć

Krzysztof's schedule is incredibly busy, making it difficult to catch up with him, even for a brief conversation. However, we persevered enough to talk and learn more about the man whose architectural adventures are familiar to most Poles, especially those who dream of a comfortable bathroom or a functional walk-in closet.

Krzysztof Miruć hails from Giżycko, where he spent his entire childhood. When asked about his memories of his youth, he speaks without hesitation of carefree moments spent in the land of a thousand lakes.

For as long as he can remember, he wanted to be an architect. The greatest influence on Krzysztof's future was his uncle, Mirosław Miruć, whose work and demeanor greatly impressed him. It was he who inspired his younger cousin and instilled in him the creative gene, which Krzysztof developed at high school in Supraśl and later while studying at the Warsaw University of Technology. In his opinion, being an architect is the best job in the world.

"If you love what you do, time becomes relative. I lose myself in work, and it stops being work and becomes pure pleasure," he replies when we ask about his greatest passion, adding, "that's why I can call myself a workaholic, and it's the only addiction I truly enjoy."

Speaking of time, Krzysztof openly admits it's something he constantly lacks. To make matters worse, he can be absent-minded, and if it weren't for his coworkers, he definitely wouldn't be able to get anything done on time. Even with a watch on his wrist.
Krzysztof's first watch memory is connected to his First Communion. It was during this ceremony that he received his first watch, which he remembers vividly. It was a Soviet-made machine with a white and silver dial, a hand-winding movement, and a classic look. Judging by the description, Krzysztof became the owner of a traditional suit.

The Communion souvenir was lost somewhere in the mists of time, and in the meantime, our Ambassador began to appreciate the manual movements hidden in exquisitely designed cases. Krzysztof began to water and develop his watchmaking dreams together with Balticus.

"I'm a fan of Polish companies," he says openly, "and I want to support Polish brands. That's why, when the opportunity to work with Balticus arose, I didn't hesitate and accepted. It was crucial that some of the watches are designed by an outstanding specialist, Mateusz Przystał. It was this uncompromising approach to the product and the desire to create unique items that convinced me to choose this company's watches. As an architect, form and substance are of paramount importance to me, and I find both in Balticus watches."

For our Ambassador, a watch is an important part of a man's attire. Krzysztof owns several Balticus watches, and they're the first thing he puts on after waking up. He always tries to match his watch to the occasion, the time of day, or the destination. Fortunately, there are plenty to choose from. Krzysztof owns, among others, a Frogman, a Stardust, and a Deep Water in the highly desirable and elegant Full Black Limited Edition configuration.
