Opis
The Pride of Podlasie. This is how the fans of Jagiellonia Białystok and the residents of north-eastern Poland speak and think about their Club. The Club is not just a sports phenomenon on the country's football map, but above all a symbol of local identity.
The successes of the "Yellow-Reds" on the pitches of the Ekstraklasa and in European cups ignite the emotions of football fans throughout the country.
With its unique community, rich history, and sporting tradition in mind, Jagiellonia Białystok invited Balticus Watches to create the first club watch in Jagi's history. From the dial, through the bezel, to the crown, case back, and clasp – every element of the new timepiece refers to the Club's history, which began in May 1920.
Character inscribed in details.
A characteristic feature of the Jagiellonia Białystok watch design is the bezel. Its steel insert is decorated with a circular graining. A time scale calibrated to the forty-fifth minute has been incorporated into it. The remaining fifteen minutes of the scale are included as the potential stoppage time of the match. It is the quarter-hour in which anything can happen.
The specially calibrated bezel scale is not everything. The numerals and indices on the rotating ring surrounding the dial are filled with two types of luminescent compound. Super-LumiNova BGW9 X1 Grade is responsible for readings during regular match time. Meanwhile, the stoppage time markings are filled with Old Radium X1 Grade compound. The difference is visible both by day and after dark.
Before being charged with light, Old Radium has a characteristic beige-sand hue. This is a color reference to the Jagiellonia crest located on the case back. Thanks to this, the basic match time and the stoppage minutes remain clearly separated from each other.
The crest on the watch dial
The watch dial is matte and textured. The granular structure of the dial is broken by double lines inspired by fragments of the club crest. The dial features applied indices with polished frames. Their interior is filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9 X1 Grade luminous substance.
Special attention is drawn to the indices at 6 and 9 o'clock and the double index at 12 o'clock. They feature finishes inspired by the top line of the Jagi crest. The crest symbol is placed below the axis of the hands. The yellow and red colors clearly indicate the watch's affiliation.
The entire dial design is completed by massive hands. Their interior is also filled with luminescent substance. A light and slender second hand serves as a counterweight. It is finished with a small triangle, the inside of which also glows after dark.
The dial is covered by a domed sapphire crystal. The practical dimension of the watch is enhanced by an internal anti-reflective coating on the crystal. The combination of effective lume and the internal anti-reflective coating improves the readability of the display in varied lighting conditions.
The other side of the case is closed with a solid case back, the central place of which is occupied by the Jagiellonia Białystok crest placed on a shiny black background.
Three versions of the watch. One character.
The Jagiellonia Białystok watch was created in three versions. Two of them are made of 316L stainless steel. They differ only by the ring surrounding the dial. In one reference, it has a uniform gold-sand color. In the second version, the ring is kept in the club colors, yellow and red.
The third version of the watch was also made of stainless steel. However, its surface was covered with a DLC coating. It gave the steel a dark color and additionally hardened its surface. The watch gained a dark, matte color, which clearly distinguishes it from the versions without the coating. Thanks to the dark case and bracelet, the club accents gained stronger contrast and a more decisive character.
Each version of the watch retains the same club identity but interprets it in a different way - from a classic steel form to a decidedly sporty edition with a DLC coating.
The watch's automatic heart
The precise operation of the watch is provided by the Japanese Miyota 9015 movement. This is a construction valued for its reliability and proven technical solutions. The movement is powered by the movement of the wrist. It provides a 42-hour power reserve. The movement can also be wound manually using the crown. It is also equipped with a stop-seconds function and a date display, which is placed at the three o'clock position.
The screw-down crown gained its individual character thanks to the letter "J" placed on its flat surface.
Sporty format, uncompromising idea
The heart of the watch is enclosed in a case with a diameter of 43 mm. The bezel has a diameter of 44.5 mm, which is 1.5 mm more than the case. The lug-to-lug distance is 52 mm. The case has a height of 16 mm.
Such selected proportions give the watch a clear presence on the wrist and harmonize well with the extensive surfaces of the case. Some of them are satin-finished, others are high-polished. The varied finishing adds dynamics to the design and emphasizes the sporty character of the model.
Versatility and elegance
The watch is equipped with a steel bracelet. Its solid construction inspires confidence. The clasp, signed with the letter "J" and the name Balticus, ensures a comfortable and secure hold of the watch on the wrist.
The set also includes a rubber strap, which changes the character of the watch and makes it lighter. This is a practical solution for those who want to wear the watch both every day and in less formal situations.
Limited series
The Jagiellonia Białystok watch is produced in limited series. Each of the two steel versions will be limited to 100 pieces. The variant covered with a DLC coating will be produced in a number of only 50 pieces. A total of 250 watches will be produced in three variants.
Each variant combines the watchmaking character of Balticus with the symbolism of Jagiellonia Białystok.
The timepiece was not created as an occasional souvenir, but as a full-fledged club watch, designed from the beginning with the colors, crest, and football identity of Jagiellonia Białystok in mind.

Balticus Jagiellonia "Yellow-Reds"
