Balticus Perun

Balticus Perun – a cosmic story in a steel case

The Balticus Perun Chrono Moonphase 42 mm Limited Edition is the first β€œspacewatch” in the brand’s collection. It was created by combining Polish watchmaking with space technology developed by SpaceForest. The edition is limited to 200 numbered pieces.

Genuine meteorite shield

The most distinctive feature of Perun is the shield made of natural meteorite. Every piece of octahedrite has a unique pattern, which is why no two pieces are identical. This is not a graphic – it is an authentic material that came to Earth from space.

Space complications and a clear layout

The dial layout was designed to strike a balance between functionality and the display of the meteorite.
– three central hands (time + stopwatch seconds hand)
– small seconds at 6 o’clock
– chronograph minute and hour counters at 10 o’clock
– date window at the 4 o’clock marker
– tachymeter scale on the outer edge

Moon Phases – A Unique Complication

The upper part of the dial has been cut away to reveal a disc showing the current phase of the Moon. The Moon moves against a navy-blue background full of stars, creating an effect that is both romantic and technical. The indication is so accurate that adjustment is only required after about 2.5 years.

Swiss ETA movement

The watch is powered by the ETA G10.962 EO quartz movement.

It features:
– chronograph up to 11 h 59 min 59 s
– date display
– moon phase display
– shock resistance
– battery life of up to 38 months

The movement is jeweled with 4 jewels and is capable of operating even in zero gravity.

Envelope inspired by Gent's design

The 42 mm steel case is inspired by luxury sports watches from the 1970s. The integrated bracelet ensures that the watch sits perfectly on the wrist, even a slender one.

The bracelet features a three-row design with polished centers and brushed sides, and is secured by a locking clasp bearing the Balticus logo.

Durability and everyday resilience

The Perun offers 200 m (20 ATM) water resistance thanks to its screw-down crown and case back.

The front features sapphire crystal with an AR coating, while the Super-LumiNova-filled hands ensure perfect readability both day and night.

Perun racket lid

The full, screw-on lid is decorated with a relief depicting the Polish rocket Perun against a starry background. The matte background and polished elements create a three-dimensional depth effect. Next to it is the edition number in the format XXX/200.

Mythology and technology in one project

The model's name is derived from the Slavic god Perun – patron of the sky, lightning, and light. The watch symbolically combines mythology, space technology, and watchmaking craftsmanship.
